Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund a component of the Kenosha Community Foundation
MISSION: The mission of the Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund is to provide educational opportunities for economically and academically deserving youth and to support healthy lifestyles initiatives in communities of color.
Mahone Fund Initiatives
- Education - Career Exploration Organization (CEO): CEO is designed to match low to moderate income youth with a business mentor in order to ascertain, develop, and pursue their career goals. This program focuses on educational and career development topics and discusses the relationship between educational achievements, career planning and community service. As part of this program the fund provides eighth (8) $4,000 Youth Scholarship awards to graduating seniors from the Kenosha Unified School District as well as St. Joseph's and Shoreland Lutheran High School. The scholarships are presented at the annual Reaching for Rainbows Pursuit of Excellence Dinner Dance. To date, we have awarded 187 scholarships.

- Healthy Lifestyles Initiative: Provides financial assistance for programs and services which promote healthy lifestyles.
- Cultural Engagement: The Mahone Fund acknowledges the wonderful humanitarian leadership that many individuals and organizations demonstrate in order to uplift the lives and improve the human condition for all residents in Kenosha County.
- Living Legend: This award recognizes an individual(s) or organization for their outstanding lifetime contributions, which help to improve the quality of life for all people by embracing diversity and inclusion in Kenosha. The recipient(s) is honored at the annual Reaching for Rainbows Pursuit of Excellence Dinner Dance

- The Signature Award: This award recognizes an individual(s) or organization for their exceptional financial and in kind support for the philanthropic efforts of the Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone Fund. The recipient(s) is honored at the annual Reaching for Rainbows Pursuit of Excellence Dinner Dance.
