Our Mission

The mission of the Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund is to promote opportunities for economically or academic- ally disadvantaged youth and support Breast and Cervical cancer initiatives for econom-ically disadvantaged women.

Programs

Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone Youth Scholars Award:
The fund provides a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior from each Kenosha Unified high school including St. Joseph’s High School. To date, we have awarded 72 scholarships to minority and economically deserving students.

Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone Living Legend Awards:
Each year we honor and celebrate an individual or group whose daily life accomplishments represent the multicultural and humanitarian philosophy of Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone.

Women’s Breast/Cervical Health Fund:
Provides financial assistance for services related to the diagnosis and treatment of breast/cervical cancer. This is a partnership between Kenosha Community Health Center, Aurora Health Care, and the Kenosha County Health Department. To date, 124 women have been served.

Career Exploration Program:
Job-training academic program for African American males 14-17 years of age.
