MAHONE FUND SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR 2013 LIVING LEGEND AWARD
The Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund, a local philanthropic organization, wants to acknowledge the wonderful humanitarian and multicultural leadership that many individuals and organizations have demonstrated in order to uplift the lives and improve the human condition for all residents in Kenosha County
The Mahone Fund is seeking nominations for the 2013 Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Living Legend Award. To nominate an individual or group of individuals/organization/ corporation who have shown a commitment to humanitarianism and multiculturalism in Kenosha County, nominees must be:
- Resident of Kenosha County
- Involved in community, church, professional, or school activities that enhance diversity and inclusion
- Emphasis on multicultural activities encouraged
- Nomination forms must be returned by Friday, March 29, 2013
This year’s Living Legend award recipient will be honored at the 15th Anniversary Reaching for Rainbow Pursuit of Excellence Gala. Previous recipients of this award included, John Milisauskas, Greta Hansen, David Hankins, Adelene Green, Rev. Olen Arrington, Jr., Denis Wikel, John (AJ) Capelli, Jack Waters, F.Gregory Campbell, Dr. Kevin Fullin, Katherine Marks, Fran Anderson, Tim Thompkins, Pauline McTernan, Joe Mangi, Vonda Kinderman, Connie Ferwerda, Yolanda Santos Adams, Ron Stevens, Carmen Ireland and the only corporation SuperValu
The mission of the Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund is to provide opportunities for economically and/or academically deserving youth and to support Breast and Cervical cancer initiatives for women who need financial support. To date, we have awarded 157 scholarships and also provided financial support for 500 women who needed treatment for Breast and Cervical cancer.
